Giants Pitcher Sean Hjelle’s Wife Accuses Him of Being a Dead Beat Dad

Sean Hjelle of the San Francisco Giants is facing allegations of leaving his family. According to his wife, he left when she found out about multiple alleged indiscretions.

The wife of four-year MLB veteran Sean Hjelle, Caroline Hjelle, took to her TikTok on Friday to criticize her fastball-throwing husband. She shared a video of herself laughing and playing with their children.

Although the video of the three of them is adorable, the message that goes with it is far less entertaining. Caroline writes that it was filmed a week before Mother’s Day and that Sean abandoned her and their kids.

After she “found about [sic] his affairs and stopped putting up with his abuse, he left,” according to Caroline, “so I’ve been raising my two boys alone.”

She made a post this Friday afternoon. In addition, Sean allowed Boston Red Sox centerfielder Ceddanne Rafaela to hit a home run in one inning of work just hours before. The loss weighed heavily on him.

In November 2021, Sean and Carolina tied the knot, and in May of the same year, he made his Major League Baseball debut with the Giants. Over the course of four seasons, the 28-year-old has pitched in 87 games for the team, recording a 4.80 ERA.
