With a crushing 107-86 loss to the Phoenix Mercury over the weekend, the Chicago Sky‘s challenging season continues. As frustration built, rookie forward Angel Reese offered little explanation after the game – but her silence spoke volumes.
Shortly after the final bell, Reese rushed to social media to share his performance from the game, which included just nine points, two rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a block.
She shared a lone prayer hands emoji on X with no explanation or caption. A lot of conjecture regarding her attitude and future with the team was stoked by that one gesture alone.
In addition to the team’s record, Reese is disappointed by the lack of momentum as the All-Star voting gets closer. She is presently ranked No. 13 in the voting results with 173,363 votes, only behind Satou Sabally, who leads both teams in the rankings with 175,611, despite having a big fanfare before the season began.
