While avoiding providing an update on the head coach search, seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady believes he will be able to fulfill his 10-year contract with Fox Sports even though he owns a portion of the Las Vegas Raiders.
A few months after signing a deal to serve as a commentator and analyst for Fox, the 47-year-old found his employment with the network in jeopardy when he purchased a five percent share in the NFL franchise based in Nevada.
Generally speaking, owners are not allowed to work for broadcasters due to the possibility of influencing officials and other participants. Brady was eventually granted an exception, though, and his purchase from the Raiders was authorized.

To make sure he isn’t attempting to tamper behind closed doors, that came with certain restrictions, such the inability to attend television production meetings with other coaches and players.
However, he was once again criticized for his role in the Raiders’ head coach search when he made a statement about the Detroit Lions following interviews with their offensive and defensive coordinators for the open position.
Fans were mistaken if they believed he could have to resign from his $375 million 10-year contract in order to fulfill his responsibilities as a minority owner and a key player in their daily football operations.
After Kevin Burkhardt joked that the former NFL player would be stuck with him for the next ten years, Brady said: “Happily. I’d bite some kneecaps for you, K.B., whatever you need me to do, baby. You’re a great teammate,”
“It’s just been a great learning experience,” “But you realize the league’s full of great potential.” “And what I believe is the resumes, the accolades, they’re all earned by what people do on the field.
“You earn your opportunities, and you do your performance and let that do the talking-as it should be, and as I did when I was a player.”
When Burkhardt asked Brady about Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn during a commercial break, he avoided discussing them directly on the radio, maybe because he was a minority owner.
Brady participated in the virtual interviews, so Burkhardt asked him how he assessed the Lions staff. The 48-year-old former New England Patriot had a thoughtful response.
