Shedeur Sanders Offers a Frank Assessment of the Browns’ Teammates

Although Shedeur Sanders‘ NFL debut did not go as expected, the former Colorado star is enjoying his life in the quarterback’s room with the Cleveland Browns.

Prior to the draft, Sanders was in the running to be the first overall choice, but he was chosen with the 144th overall pick, falling all the way to the fifth round. His slip came after numerous reports that raised character concerns about the 23-year-old based on anonymous remarks made by NFL coaches and front office staff.

Starting at No. 4 on the depth chart, behind rookie Dillon Gabriel, Kenny Pickett, and Joe Flacco, Sanders will have to fight just to make the Browns’ roster.

However, Sanders is enjoying his time with his new colleagues thus far and is not intimidated by the competition.

On his YouTube channel, he stated:

“It’s a really great locker room.” “The quarterback room is fun. Every day, it’s fun going in there. Everything is really good and I’m really happy.

“We got a bunch of different personalities in the quarterback room, and just talking to the quarterbacks that took NFL snaps, that played in the league, you’re living the experience through them also and ask them whatever questions come to mind.”

Sanders has been happy to return to the practice field and let his talent speak for itself after all the hype that followed his incredible draft slip. He stated, “I was able to finally get back on grass, and the outside noise and everything was put to an end, and I was able to actually get out there and show what I’m able to do.”

It is evident that Sanders’ confidence has not been damaged by his decline from a possible No. 1 overall pick to a day three selection. Though he is aware that he must first win over his new colleagues, he is keen to give the struggling Browns supporters cause for hope.
