The Ryan Coogler-directed film leads the Easter Weekend box office with $45.6 million.

Fresh from its perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, the compelling vampire flick, which also stars Wunmi Mosaku, Hailee Steinfeld, and Delroy Lindo, bests ‘A Minecraft Movie’ to snatch the top spot. The latter notches another $41.3 million, bringing its global total to $700 million.

According to Warner, ‘Sinners’ scores the best start for an original film since the pre-pandemic period, when Jordan Peele’s 2019 effort ‘Us’ launched with $71.1 million domestically.
