Finding out that their spouse is cheating is among the worst things a spouse may learn. In order to save their marriage, one lady helped her husband get dressed for his dates even though she knew and accepted that he was cheating, rather than becoming upset or ending their marriage.
In their 32-year marriage, Kelley and Reginald Steele have seen many highs and lows. According to News.com/au, the high school sweethearts acknowledged that there had been adultery in their marriage from the start in a recent episode of the “Dear Future Wifey” podcast.
When they learned Kelley was expecting, they were married in 1993. In the episode, Reginald, the founder of Phoenix, Arizona’s Kingdom Church, acknowledged that he would chastise his wife for not sharing his beliefs.
However, this spouse was rather hypocritical in his day because, soon after marriage, he allegedly “left this ‘holy lifestyle'” and returned to “drinks, smoking weed, and chasing women.”
Kelley explains how God influenced her to let her pastor husband have affairs
Kelley claimed to have “had a radical heart shift from that moment” following a few sacred conversations with God. “I just changed completely as a person,” she said.
As Kelley allowed her husband to indulge his wandering eye, the two became closer.
“I would tell her that although you are my starter, I have other players on the bench,” Reginald remarked.
His wife agreed, saying, “As long as I was first, I was fine with it.”
Even though he would go out on the weekends, the loyal wife claimed that she would practically assist him in getting ready for the evening by ironing his clothes.
“I didn’t want him to be lost,” she continued.
With so many women at his disposal, the podcast host wondered why Reginald continued to choose his wife. His answer? It wasn’t as deep as one could have imagined. “She lived down the street, but all my other girlfriends lived 30 minutes away. She would also feed me and give me money.”
The couple acknowledged that all of these antics occurred during the first several years of their marriage, even if they did not specify whether heating is still occurring in their union.
