Hot 100: Future, Metro Boomin, & Kendrick Lamar Make History with #1 Debut of ‘Like That’ As ‘We Don’t Trust You’ Places 5 Songs in Top 10

Much like their joint album ‘We Don’t Trust You’ is currently dominating the Billboard 200 with the biggest first-week sales of 2024, Future and Metro Boomin are watching its headline-grabbing single – the Kendrick Lamar-assisted ‘Like That‘ – mirror that success on the Hot 100.

Details inside.

Laden with disses toward J. Cole and Drake, the Boomin-produced cut debuted at #1 on the updated Hot 100. Here are the numbers that powered the positioning.

  • Streaming: 59.6 million U.S.-based streams
  • Radio Airplay: 5.6 million audience impressions
  • Sales: 9,000 digital downloads

While the placement marks Metro’s first Hot 100 topper as a performer, it comes as the third for Future and Lamar respectively.

Uniquely, the tune makes Billboard history for becoming the fourth all-genre chart leader to boast three male leads but first to debut at #1 in the Hot 100’s 65-year existence.

Here’s a look at all four chart-toppers.

“Like That,” Future, Metro Boomin & Kendrick Lamar, 2024

“Crack a Bottle,” Eminem, Dr. Dre & 50 Cent, 2009

“Shake Ya Tailfeather,” Nelly, P. Diddy & Murphy Lee, 2003

“All for Love,” Bryan Adams/Rod Stewart/Sting, 1994

As if that’s not enough to celebrate, the ‘We Don’t Trust You’ album premiered four other tracks in the tally’s top 5 as well.

No. 1, “Like That,” Future, Metro Boomin & Kendrick Lamar

No. 2, “Type Shit,” Future, Metro Boomin, Travis Scott & Playboi Carti

No. 6, “Cinderella,” Future, Metro Boomin & Travis Scott
