Andrew Whitworth Believes the Carolina Panthers Will Be the 2025 Season’s Surprise Package

Will the Carolina Panthers be able to maintain their recent success until 2025? Andrew Whitworth is among the NFL analysts who believe they can. Their 2024 season ended well, despite the fact that it was terrible.

The growth of Bryce Young and the influence of new head coach Dave Canales were among the most important lessons learned. Whitworth, for example, thinks the Panthers’ successful conclusion could alter how the team begins the following campaign.

A squad that had suffered greatly up until that point—even benching their former first overall choice, Bryce Young, for a while—was relieved to see it. However, the Panthers regained their footing after Young’s return.

Former lineman Andrew Whitworth now thinks they could be a surprise team going into the season after seeing that impressive finish in the past.

On The Rich Eisen Show, Whitworth stated:  “You look at Carolina, how they finished the year last year. Just the energy, those things carry over,”

“I can remember being in Cincinnati, some of the years that we kind of turned things over, and,. it’s like, man, maybe that year didn’t end great. But those last five, six, seven weeks, we really found an identity of who we were, and then it would play into that next year,” 

As the linemen indicated, it’s partially accurate, but finding examples requires some research. The Atlanta Falcons had a 1–7 start to the 1997 season. After finishing 7-9 that year, they continued to build on their success in 1998, going 14-2 and making it to the Super Bowl.
