History About To Be Made As James Franklin Or Marcus Freeman Could Become First Black HC To Win An FBS National Championship

There is a possibility of James Franklin or Marcus Freeman making history as the first black head coach to win an FBS National Championship. It’s an exciting prospect and something that’s long overdue in college football.

Both Franklin and Freeman have proven themselves to be exceptional coaches. Franklin has led the Penn State Nittany Lions to success and has a track record of building strong teams. Freeman, on the other hand, has been making waves as the head coach at Notre Dame and has earned a reputation for his strategic thinking and leadership.

Now, winning a national championship is no small feat. It takes incredible talent, a cohesive team, and a bit of luck. But Franklin and Freeman have what it takes to make it happen. So all eyes are on either James or Marcus to make history.

Inside Zone’s Matt Fortuna was one of the few media members to notice an historic milestone and how far the sport has come.

“With Penn State (James Franklin) and Notre Dame (Marcus Freeman) squaring off in the College Football Playoff semifinals in the Orange Bowl, there is guaranteed to be a Black head coach in the FBS national championship game for the first time ever,” Fortuna wrote.

Not only is it an outstanding feat regardless of which team advances, it also gives the Big Ten validation that it doesn’t have to play second-fiddle to the SEC.

Not only would a national championship win for Franklin or Freeman be a huge milestone for them, but it would also be a much-needed step towards diversity and representation in college football. It’s about time that we see coaches of all backgrounds and ethnicities succeed at the highest level.

We are rooting for Franklin and Freeman to break those barriers and make history. It’s time for a change in college football, and these two coaches have the potential to lead the way.
