Aaron Rodgers Is “Worth the Wait,” According to James Jones

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ Aaron Rodgers story is still ongoing. At one point, they appeared to be among numerous teams interested in the renowned quarterback. But now it seems like ages ago.

Except for the Steelers, everyone else has gone on. Pittsburgh persisted in its pursuit of the 41-year-old even after Rodgers appeared to dismiss their early interest in favor of a long-shot move to the Minnesota Vikings.

According to a recent comment from Steelers owner Art Rooney II, the team intended to wait “a little while longer” to see what choice Rodgers would make.

Although many people think it’s shameful for a reputable team like the Steelers to abandon them at the whim of quarterback Aaron Rodgers, James Jones, a former teammate, believes the wait will be worthwhile.

According to Jones, nobody is paying much attention to the Steelers’ current quarterback room. With Rodgers on board, however, that would alter immediately.

According to the former wideout:“Obviously, when Aaron Rodgers walks in that building, the Steelers are a better football team, so it absolutely is worth the wait… Where does he take them? I do not know. But the quarterback room you have right now is not going to accomplish too much. So the wait is absolutely gonna be worth it,”

“You gotta wait, and I don’t care how long you gotta wait, you gotta get a quarterback in there that can deliver, and that’s Aaron Rodgers.”

Jones played for the Green Bay Packers with Aaron Rodgers as his quarterback for all save his first season in 2007. He knows Rodgers better than others because his 45 touchdown catches off his arm from 2008 to 2015 rank fourth among all of the quarterback’s teammates.
