Travis Scott’s ‘Utopia’ Tops Apple Music Charts of 120+ Countries / Set for HUGE First-Week Streams

The road to ‘Utopia‘ hasn’t been easy for Travis Scott, but the overwhelmingly positive response to the July 28-released album suggests it was worth the wait.

Rumored to originally be due in 2021 (three years after the release of the chart-topping ‘AstroWorld‘), ‘Utopia’ was serially delayed due to his headline-grabbing Astroworld Festival that year that not only killed 10 people but left several injured and led to a sum of lawsuits totaling over 8 figures.

Powering through the financial and PR setbacks, Scott lifted a star-studded studio effort to digital platforms Friday that features Beyonce, Drake, Young Thug, Playboi Carti, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, The Weeknd, 21 Savage, Bad Bunny, Kid Cudi, Future, SZA, and many other big names across its 19 tracks.

The tag teams proved to be potent combinations on a global scale as peruse of the current Apple Music charts shows ‘Utopia’ at #1 in a whopping 122 countries including United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Jamaica, Egypt, India, South Africa, Canada, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and more.

The news comes just hours after industry analysts took to press to confirm ‘Utopia’ racked up 100m+ streams across all reporting platforms in the United States – putting it on pace to collect over 350m by the end of its tracking week.

At this rate, the final figure (with physical and digitals included) could equal over 500k and not only best the 537,000 sold in the first week by 2018’s ‘AstroWorld’ but also make it the highest first-week sales for any new project released in 2023.
