Travis Kelce’s Retirement Hinted by Patrick Mahomes

With the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback promising to bring Travis Kelce a send-off victory because it might be his final game, Patrick Mahomes has given yet another concerning indication that Kelce may be leaving the NFL at the end of the 2024–2025 season.

The 35-year-old tight end only managed 823 receiving yards and three touchdowns from 97 grabs during the regular season. He even appeared to be Noah Gray’s second-choice tight-end target at times.

Even though he recorded 117 receiving yards and a score to secure a spot in the AFC Championship game against the Houston Texans, his performance might have suggested he was reserving himself for the NFL Playoffs.

Mahomes told Carrington Harrison on The Drive: “If it’s his last game, let’s go out there and get him a win,”

 “If it’s not his last game, let’s go out and win anyway.

“Either way, I appreciate every single time I’ve stepped out onto that field with that guy. Knowing that he’s a true legend of not only the Chiefs, the NFL.”

Since he started dating Taylor Swift in 2023, Kelce has quickly grown his professional endeavors. He made his acting debut as Ed Laclan in FX’s Grotesquerie and then hosted Are You Smarter than a Celebrity. Happy Gilmore 2 will also feature him.
