Megan Thee Stallion took the stand in a Los Angeles courtroom on Tuesday for Day 2 of the Tory Lanez shooting trial to give her testimony to the jury about what happened the night leading up to when Tory shot at her feet.

Photographers captured Megan Thee Stallion, real name Megan Pete, walking into the courthouse wearing a purple Sergio Hudson power suit, Christian Louboutin pumps, and a rainbow Chanel bag. It’s not lost on us that she wore purple, which is the symbolic color to raise awareness about domestic violence.

As she walked inside, someone yelled out, “Meg, why you lying on that boy? You look good in that purple.” Peep the clip below:

Folks really have audacity.

Despite that person’s foolery, the Grammy-winning rapper gave the thumbs up when asked how she was doing as she walked inside the downtown L.A. courtroom.

When she hit the stand, she reportedly teared up repeatedly while talking about depression and suicide as a result of the July 2020 shooting, allegedly at the hands of Canadian artist Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson. She talked about the lack of support from the Hip-Hop community, where many people were quick to declare she lied about being shot.

“This whole situation in the industry is like a big boys club,” she testified. “Like I’m telling on one of y'all friends, now you’re all about to hate me.”

The case has rekindled debates about misogyny in the male-dominated Hip-Hop industry.

The “WAP” raptress said Tory told her “don't say anything and I'll give you a million dollars, adding he was already on probation for something else.

At one point, she got super emotional and said, "I can't believe I have to come up here and do this," before claiming her former friend, Kelsey Nicole Harris, and Tory Lanez started to argue while in the car, prompting her to get out of the black Cadillac Escalade they were riding in after attending Kylie Jenner’s pool party. She said the argument started after Tory told Kelsey that he and Meg had been intimate.

The L.A. Times reports:

Pete said Tuesday that she was driving away from a party at makeup mogul Kylie Jenner’s house with Peterson, his bodyguard and her former longtime friend Kelsey Harris when an argument erupted inside their SUV on Nichols Canyon Road. Peterson became upset that Pete had asked him to leave the party, she said Tuesday. Then Peterson turned around and told Pete she needed “to stop lying” to Harris about their relationship.

Pete told the court that she and Peterson had become friends and bonded over the loss of their mothers in the months before the shooting. They also occasionally had a sexual relationship.

Harris had a “crush” on Peterson, according to Pete, and after the revelation about their sex lives, the argument spiraled out of control. Peterson called both women “bitches and hos,” Pete testified Tuesday, then the two began bickering over their musical careers.

Pete asked to be let out of the car. But as she walked away, Pete said in court Tuesday, Peterson allegedly opened fire on her and yelled “dance, bitch!” wounding Pete’s feet.

“I’m in shock. I’m scared. I hear the gun going off, and I can’t believe he’s shooting at me,” Pete said Tuesday.

Pete did not initially report the shooting. On Tuesday, Pete repeated her assertion that she did not feel comfortable talking to the LAPD, especially in summer 2020 in the wake of the killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.

“At the time, we are at the height of police brutality ... I felt like if I said ‘This man has just shot me,’ they might shoot first and ask questions later,” Pete said. Pete also noted that “in the Black community, in my community, it’s not really acceptable to be cooperating with police officers.” She ultimately reported the attack days later and then, in an Instagram live video the next month, publicly accused Peterson of shooting her.

The Houston native said reliving the attack in the public eye had been “torture” for her. She also said she was having a hard time sitting across from Tory during her testimony.

The “Savage” raptress also expressed her embarrassment at having to publicly admit to having sex with Tory, saying, "Because it's disgusting. How could I share my body with someone who would shoot me at this point?,” she said. “I feel disgusting. I feel dirty. I feel like I don’t matter.”

Meg expressed that she hated how the discussions around the case focused more on whether she had sex with Tory, than the fact that she was SHOT, and injured.

“This whole story has not been about the shooting. It’s only been about who I been having sex with,” she said. “When people talk about Megan Thee Stallion getting shot, all the headlines are Megan Thee Stallion is on trial and I’m not on trial.”

People have been dragging Meg, dubbing her a liar, for her admission after she told “CBS Mornings” co-anchor Gayle King she was never intimate with Tory during a televised interview earlier this year.

The Traumazine rapper’s testimony got really dark when she shared how she felt about everything that has transpired since that night.

”I don’t wanna be on this Earth,” Meg told the jury. “I wish he woulda shot and killed me if I knew I would go through this torture.”

Meg testified she never saw Kelsey with the gun and insisted Tory is who shot at her after saying “dance b*tch.”

Tory Lanez faces over 22 years in prison if he’s convicted on all three felony counts. Tory, 30, has maintained his innocence, pleading not guilty to all three charges, which include felony assault with a firearm, illegal weapons possession, and negligent discharge of a gun. Not only that, he has also publicly implied Meg lied about the shooting, despite bullet fragments being found in her feet by a doctor.

Kelsey Nicole Harris will take the stand today for Day 3 where she is expected to testify and corroborate Megan’s testimony that Tory shot her.

Outside of the courtroom, about two dozen supporters came out to support Meg:

The trial is expected to end before Christmas.
