Led by Queen Latifah as vigilante Robyn McCall, the contemporary reimagining of the 1980s drama has run on the network for five seasons.
And it has now been confirmed that there will not be a sixth instalment of the show.
For, CBS has opted not to renew ‘The Equalizer’ for the 2025-2026 TV season.
It means Sunday night’s season finale will also function as the series finale.
Spearheaded by a seismic Super Bowl lead-in, ‘The Equalizer ‘was a breakout hit upon its debut in 2021 and had been a solid performer for much of its run on Sunday nights.
In recent times, however, ratings have dipped.
Per Deadline, a renewal was a 50-50 possibility. However, CBS ultimately decided to pull the plug.
