Shannon Sharpe Is Seeking a $100M+ Podcast Deal When the Volume Contract Ends

The media agreement between Colin Cowherd’s The Volume podcast network and Shannon Sharpe has ended. Front Office Sports reported that the Pro Football Hall of Famer has received several offers and is anticipated to agree to a contract worth more than $100 million.

In August 2023, a few months after departing FS1’s Undisputed, where he made his debut opposite Skip Bayless, Sharpe joined forces with The Volume. With its rapid rise to prominence, Club Shay Shay became one of the most popular podcasts in the entertainment and sports industries, especially on YouTube. The crowd for Nightcap with cohost Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson is likewise sizable.

Since it debuted on YouTube on January 3, 2024, Sharpe’s interview with comedian Katt Williams has received 89 million views and counting. Nearly 4 million people have signed up for Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay.

All of the Shay Shay network’s shows, not only Sharpe’s, will be included in the new agreement. Club Shay Shay, Nightcap, Club 520 Podcast, The Bubba Dub Show, and Humble Baddies are currently included in that.

Sharpe frequently appears on Stephen A. Smith’s First Take and other ESPN programs. Nick Wright’s well-known YouTube channel and show were added to The Volume earlier this year. Regarding the talks, it was not possible to get in touch with Sharpe’s representative.
