Natasha Rothwell is speaking out following the unexpected cancellation of her Hulu series ‘How to Die Alone.’ Despite the show’s successful eight-episode run, it has unfortunately come to an end.

The series, which Rothwell created, starred in, and executive produced, received rave reviews based on the storyline and stunning cast.

It centered on the life of a  woman who has never been in love and commits to changing her life after a near-death experience

Despite the positive reception, Hulu has opted not to move forward with another season.

The actress took to social media to express her heartbreak over the show’s premature end, writing:

“This is hard to comprehend… My heart is aches for the cast, crew and writers who gave their all to tell this story. I’m so grateful to have had this opportunity and appreciate all of the love and support. Hopefully, this news will be a comma in the HTDA story, not a period.”

Fans were quick to rally behind Rothwell, expressing disappointment that the show didn’t get a longer run the show was one of the few black-led shows on the network.
