We’ve got some BIG news about Michael Jordan’s legendary black Ferrari. You remember that car. The one that was like the epitome of cool in the ’90s? Well, get this – after being missing for a mind-boggling 15 years, it has finally been found!
But hold on, there’s more. Guess who the lucky new owner of this iconic ride is? None other than businessman Chris Gardner, the very same guy who inspired the hit movie “The Pursuit of Happyness.” Talk about a crazy twist of fate!
Now, you might be wondering how on earth this car ended up missing in the first place. Well, it turns out that the car was auctioned way back when, and it kind of fell off the radar. But thanks to some determined car enthusiasts and a whole lot of detective work, it’s been tracked down.
The Ferrari was acquired by businessman Chris Gardner, who inspired Will Smith’s ‘The Pursuit of Happyness.” He changed the famous license plate from “M-Air-J” to “Not MJ” and was seen driving around Chicago with it on a few occasions.
The iconic car disappeared after that. It was last seen in 2010 when it was put up for auction, but the buyer put it in storage after he was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer.
Somehow, supercar specialists ‘Curated’ managed to track it down, and it turns out both the car and owner are still around.
“Finding this car felt like solving a mystery that’s haunted us for years. Everyone knew the plate. Everyone knew the legend. But no one knew where it went. Until now,” Curated co-founder John Temerian said.
The famous whip is said to have a 4.9L flat engine hitting 428 horsepower and 362 LB-FT of torque under the hood while boasting a 0-to-60 top speed of 195 mph in under five seconds.
So there you have it, folks – the incredible story of Michael Jordan’s long-lost black Ferrari and its new owner, Chris Gardner. Who would’ve thought that after 15 years, this car would resurface and bring so much joy to someone’s life?
