LeBron James Is Criticized by Skip Bayless for “Ignoring” Cooper DeJean

During the Lakers’ recent 118-104 loss to the Sixers, Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean became viral for all the wrong reasons. After they defeated the Commanders in the NFC Championship, DeJean went to the game with some of his teammates. Lakers star LeBron James greeted the Eagles players during warmups, but he left DeJean hanging. There were many people who were disappointed by James’ behavior, but none more so than NBA analyst Skip Bayless, who wasn’t holding back while criticizing the NBA’s all-time top scorer.

Bayless used X to send LeBron a private message. His criticism was intended to pressure James into atoning for his disdain for DeJean. He stated: “Hey, LeBron, you should get to know who Cooper DeJean is. You greeted several of his Eagles teammates who were in the front row last night at the Lakers at Sixers game BUT YOU IGNORED COOPER DEJEAN. Surely not on purpose. He can ball, Bron!”

Was Skip Bayless right in trolling LeBron James for snubbing Cooper DeJean?

In the video to which Bayless is alluding, James is seen welcoming a few Eagles players, including A.J. Brown. LeBron prepares to pull his hand out of his pocket as he approaches DeJean, but he quickly retracts it when he notices the Lakers star isn’t approaching.

Through his impassioned speech, Bayless exposes LeBron and informs him of Cooper DeJean’s identity. In his debut NFL season, the 21-year-old rookie has been an outstanding member of the Eagles. LeBron has not yet addressed the matter with the media, but after Bayless’ remarks, he could be more inclined to do so.

However, this is not the first time that Bayless has thrown arbitrary jabs at LeBron.
