Keith Thurman has expressed interest in a rescheduled fight with Tim Tszyu after the latter’s knockout victory over Joey Spencer.

By stopping Spencer in the fourth round, Tszyu ended his nightmare 2024 in the ring and started what he thinks will be a run for the world title.

After Thurman defeated Brock Jarvis via third-round knockout last month, the Sydneysider’s victory in Newcastle was anticipated to set up a fight with Tszyu later in the year, contingent on the outcome of the Spencer bout.

In a social media video, he stated: “Congratulations, Tim Tszyu,”

“I see you got through with that appetizer. I got through with mine.

” Yeah.. I got him out in three, you got him out in four.

“I don’t know about you, but I’m still hungry.

“Send the contract, I’ll sign it by tonight.

“I promise you, I’ll come to Australia and give you a good fight. Let’s go.”

Before the former unified welterweight champion’s injury started a startling run for the Australian, Tszyu and Thurman were scheduled to face off in Las Vegas in March of last year.

After a last-minute substitution for Thurman, Sebastian Fundora overcame Tszyu by split decision; nonetheless, a horrific cut left the former WBO champion fighting 10 rounds with severely damaged vision.
