Hot 100: Dua Lipa’s ‘Training Season’ is the Week’s Top-Selling New Song & Overall Highest Debut

Thanks to her latest hit single, ‘Training Season,’ the Hot 100 is proving yet again it’s Dua Lipa‘s season.

Just days after learning the Kevin Parker-produced bop helped her make history in her native U.K. when it became her 15th top 10 on their Official Chart (the most of any British female act ever), ‘Training’ seems poised to see some of that commercial success reflected Stateside.

The refreshed Hot 100 sees Lipa printed at #27 – the highest appearance of any new song this week. Here are the numbers that powered the placement.

  • Streaming ≈ 10.9 million U.S.-based streams
  • Digital Downloads ≈ 9,000 copies sold
  • Radio Airplay ≈ 2.5 million audience impressions

A debut primarily bolstered by sales after the tune was given quite the fiery introduction to the masses thanks to a live performance at this year’s GRAMMYs, ‘Training’ also entered the Digital Song Sales tally at #7 – the highest of any new song this week.

The impressive Hot 100 opening not only marks Dua’s 11th top 40 hit but also the third biggest solo opening of her career to date following 2023’s ‘Houdini‘ (#11 debut) and 2020’s ‘Break My Heart‘ (#21 debut).
