Hot 100: Beyonce Becomes the First Black Female Singer to Chart Over 100 Hits Thanks to ‘Cowboy Carter’

Just last week, Beyonce and Ariana Grande were tied for third place in Billboard history books for most Hot 100 hits among women (85 each).

The shared space was one Grande only got to enjoy for three weeks because Bey’s now eclipsed the ‘Eternal Sunshine‘ songstress in record books thanks to the March 29-released ‘Cowboy Carter.’

As if snatching Ariana’s record for highest first-week sales of 2024 wasn’t enough, Beyonce’s ‘Cowboy’ ride to #1 on the Billboard 200 helped power the placement of some of its tracks on the Hot 100.

Beyond giving Bey three simultaneous top 10 singles, 23 of the 27 songs found on ‘Cowboy’ landed on the refreshed all-genre chart (which will be unveiled in full on April 9).

See the list below:

No. 2, “Texas Hold ‘Em” (up from No. 11; peaked at No. 1 for two weeks)
No. 6, “II Most Wanted,” with Miley Cyrus
No. 7, “Jolene”
No. 16, “Levii’s Jeans,” with Post Malone
No. 26, “Bodyguard”
No. 27, “Blackbiird,” with Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, Tiera Kennedy & Reyna Roberts

No. 31, “Spaghettii,” with Linda Martell & Shaboozey
No. 37, “Daughter”
No. 38, “16 Carriages” (re-entry; returns to its peak)
No. 39, “Ya Ya”
No. 42, “Protector,” with Rumi Carter
No. 44, “Tyrant,” with Dolly Parton
No. 51, “Riiverdance”
No. 52, “Alliigator Tears”
No. 54, “My Rose”
No. 59, “Just for Fun,” with Willie Jones
No. 60, “II Hands II Heaven”

No. 63, “Flamenco”
No. 65, “Desert Eagle”
No. 70, “Oh Louisiana”
No. 87, “Amen”

The addition of the above push the ‘Renaissance‘ diva’s solo career count to 106 – making her the first Black female vocalist to cross the 100-hit threshold. That number does not include the 14 hits she garnered as a member of Destiny’s Child or as part of “The Carters.”

Among all female acts, Bey ranks third behind Taylor Swift (232) and Nicki Minaj (148).
