Diddy may be fighting for his freedom in his ongoing federal trial, but he’s being sure to keep tabs on his towering list of lawsuits.

Case in point, the suit filed by former protégé Dawn Richard from Danity Kane.

As reported, the singer has accused the mogul of sexual abuse, death threats, and brutality.

Now, fresh from Richard taking the stand in the Bad Boy founder’s criminal trial, he has hit back in civil proceedings.

According to TMZ, Diddy has filed to have Richard’s lawsuit tossed out.

The reason? There are several.

In paperwork filed on Friday (May 16), Diddy’s legal team pushes back on grounds including statute of limitations, improper group pleads, and more.

It’s further claimed that Richard is attempting to hitch her suit to the cloud of controversy that engulfs the embattled star in the name of a payout.

The day of the filing is of note as it’s the same day the Danity Kane diva took to the stand in the criminal proceedings.

Rep for Diddy say Richard, “seeks to transform narratives of alleged injuries against others into a headline-grabbing sex trafficking conspiracy as to her.”

After taking the stand after Cassie, Richard is set to resume her testimony on Monday (May 19).
