It has been confirmed that CiCi – who is married to NFL quarterback Russell Wilson – has been tapped as the opening musical act on the hotly anticipated event, which will air live on ABC on at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
The GRAMMY winner joined forces with the ceremony’s host (and her close friend) Serena Williams to announce the news.
Ciara’s showing comes as she continues to blaze stages as the special guest on Missy Elliott’s ‘Out of This World Tour.’
