Christian McCaffrey’s Comeback Aggravate the 49ERS’ Offense

In the San Francisco 49ers’ crucial game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, defensive end Leonard Floyd is voicing concerns about how difficult it will be to limit quarterback Josh Allen.

The 49ers, who are 5-6, are trying to improve their season, but their path is made more difficult by their recent offensive setbacks, particularly since Christian McCaffrey‘s comeback.

Floyd, who has shown promise in his debut season with the 49ers, discussed his thoughts on the Murph & Markus podcast, highlighting the importance of concentration when facing Allen. Floyd remarked: “It’s gonna be a tough week,”. “He’s a very competitive quarterback; you gotta be at a high level, you gotta match his level.”

Allen’s season-long 2,543 passing yards and 18 touchdowns demonstrate why the Bills are still a dangerous opponent. Floyd’s caution highlights the importance of the 49ers as they prepare to play in a hostile Buffalo environment.

The return of Christian McCaffrey

The 49ers’ offense was supposed to improve with Christian McCaffrey’s comeback from bilateral Achilles tendonitis, but the outcomes have been disappointing. The club has only averaged 16.7 points per game in the three weeks since his return, which is a sharp decline from the 26.3 points they averaged while he was out.

With only 3.5 yards per run, McCaffrey’s output has also suffered in comparison to the more explosive performances of Isaac Guerendo and Jordan Mason, who average 5.1 and 6 yards per carry, respectively. McCaffrey only managed 31 yards on 11 carries and fumbled after a 23-yard gain in a lopsided loss to the Packers.

McCaffrey said : “I feel like I’m getting a lot better,”. “My mindset is always the same whether I have success or failure. I think when you lose maybe you don’t jump out on the stat sheet and your failures get highlighted. But there’s stuff that happens when you have huge games that I’m upset at. That mindset has been the same my whole career and nothing is going to change there.”
