Chris Jones, the defensive star, was the center of attention for Kansas City Chiefs fans during a ceremonial photo shoot that was posted on social media to announce the team’s postseason captains. Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, Jones, Harrison Butker, Nick Bolton, and James Winchester were in the starting lineup. Although the goal of the picture was to promote team spirit, the players’ placement and spacing gave viewers the wrong impression.

Jones is positioned between Mahomes and Bolton in the picture, but it looks rather haphazard in contrast to the more well-organized lineup of Kelce, Winchester, and Butker on the left.
Fans immediately conjectured that the captains weren’t pictured together, implying that the final lineup was heavily Photoshopped.
Fans were in stitches at the Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes photo
The most imaginative responses emphasized Jones’ ostensibly impossible positioning within the picture. Some of the responses were as follows:
“Why does Chris Jones look like a cardboard cutout at a local dealership?”
“Why do I feel like @StoneColdJones is photoshopped in lol.”
“Chris is both in front of and behind Mahomes, the box, and Bolton all at the same time. He’s unblockable, a true legend,”
The Chiefs are preparing for a historic postseason run, despite the humorous response to the photo shoot. They are competing to become the first club to win three straight titles in the Super Bowl era. Kansas City’s path to history starts in the Divisional round against the Houston Texans, who will have homefield advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.
The Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills are vying for a spot in the AFC bracket on the opposite side. Notably, during the regular season, the Bills were the only team to defeat the Chiefs at full strength.
The Chiefs are still focused on adding another championship banner to their heritage, even as fans chuckle at the photoshoot incident.
