After years of murmurs about a tell-all special being in the works, Janet Jackson ended 2021 by officially lifting the lid on news she’d be bringing a biographical documentary to Lifetime.

Simply named ‘Janet,’ the epic look at the Pop icon's life came courtesy of a two-night TV event that saw her give her dedicated fans a raw and unvarnished look into her story as she candidly spoke on everything from Justin Timberlake and the 2004 Super Bowl fiasco to the death of her brother/King of Pop Michael Jackson, previous marriages, becoming a mother for the first time at 50-years-old, and more.

Beyond its unprecedented access to the usually elusive star, the special featured appearances and commentary from her musical peers and friends such as Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott, Ciara, Rev. Al Sharpton, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, members of her family, and others who knew her best.

Kelly.'
