The backfield of the Seattle Seahawks may be undergoing some changes. According to SlickRickScoops, Seattle is amenable to selling any of their top two running backs, Zach Charbonnet or Kenneth Walker III, as the 2025 NFL Draft approaches. Although they are both young, gifted, and still under rookie contracts, there is increasing speculation that one of them may be moving shortly.

Walker, who was selected in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, had a season marred by injuries and ended with a career-low 573 running yards at 3.7 yards per carry. Charbonnet, meanwhile, gave Seattle something to consider with his displays of versatility, particularly in the passing game.

Where could Zach Charbonnet and Kenneth Walker III end up?

The team appears to be considering its options because other positions require work and the offensive line is unreliable and hasn’t benefited either back.

Dealing with Walker is not a novel concept. In light of the impending contract decisions, Sterling Xie of the Pro Football Network recently named him as a trade candidate.

Xie stated: “Walker was drafted one year earlier and is up for a new contract first, with 2025 set to be the last season of his contract,”

Instead of losing value later, such timing might encourage Seattle to consider a relocation now.

Denver has surfaced as a potential trading partner, and early discussions have suggested a fifth-round pick. The Raiders and Browns have also come up in trade rumors. Walker’s reunion with his former coach, Pete Carroll, who is currently in Vegas, might be painful for supporters who are already grieving over the loss of Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, and Geno Smith.
