Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy talked about his first encounter with Taylor Swift and how he didn’t think the singer would recognize him.
Many Chiefs players have had the opportunity to meet Swift, who has been a semi-regular fixture at Chiefs games since she started dating tight end Travis Kelce.
Worthy was pleasantly surprised that Swift recognized him when he was waiting to hug Travis Kelce at his first official meeting with her on Sunday.
After the Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills, the wide receiver was interviewed by ABC’s Fresno affiliate, WFSB-TV. Worthy said: “I just met her. I was like, ‘Damn, she’s tall’. She’s taller than me. We were on the field and she walked right past me and said, ‘Oh you’re the one who got drafted?’ It was cool,”

This year’s Super Bowl will take place at Caesars Superdrome, a location that may hold greater significance for Worthy than for other Chiefs players.
