Fans are giving Kate Fagan a hard time for supporting transgender athletes in women’s sports. But let’s be real here – Kate is just standing up for what she believes in and supporting inclusivity and fairness in sports. So why all the backlash? Well, I think she should have kept that support to herself.

Kate Fagan was a prominent ESPN writer who worked for ESPN.com, espnW, and ESPN The Magazine and appeared on Around the Horn and Outside the Lines. She left the network in 2018.

Fagan took full advantage of her return as she took the open mic at the end of Thursday’s show and pushed for transgender kids to play sports.

“Being on this show has been a privilege and a platform, and I know it’s my last time on it, so I want to say something worthy of that privilege and platform,” Fagan began.

You can probably already see where this is going. Any time someone uses both “privilege and platform” twice in the same sentence before saying what they want to say, you can be sure some radical left-wing ideology is coming next.

“Trans kids deserve to play sports,” she said.

The topic of transgender athletes in women’s sports can be controversial, but at the end of the day, everyone deserves a fair shot at competing in the sports they love even though it’s not fair!
