Tyrese Haliburton Puts on a Triple-Double Act and Pays Homage to Dad and Triple H

Both Tyrese Haliburton‘s father, who had been banned earlier, and the All-Star point guard’s amazing all-around play were back in the building.

After a first-round altercation with Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Pacers allowed John Haliburton to return to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. He witnessed his son put on a spectacular display with his first triple-double of the playoffs in Indiana’s 130-121 victory in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals on Tuesday night.

By halftime, Haliburton, 25, had scored 20 points, dished out 10 assists, and pulled down eight rebounds. He finished with a 32-15-12 stat line, zero turnovers, and four steals in 38 minutes, giving the Pacers a 3-1 series lead. Game 5 of the series will take place in New York on Thursday at the Garden.

In a TNT postgame interview, Haliburton stated: “Hell yeah, I’m glad Pops [is] in the building, man, makes it more sweet,.. Triple H being there was pretty fire too..”

“Definitely had something to do with it.”

In Game 1, the Knicks had squandered a 14-point lead with less than three minutes remaining, and the younger Haliburton had used the Reggie Miller choke sign from 1994 after a game-tying shot at the end of regulation in Indiana’s overtime victory.
