Tyreek Hill, a five-time All-Pro wide receiver, set off trade rumors once more on Sunday night with a series of mysterious posts on his X (previously Twitter) account.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill

Initially, an X account inquired if Dolphins supporters would be amenable to trading Hill. Hill used a smiling emoji to cite the post on Twitter. Then, on the eve of the 2025 NFL draft, which is less than a month away, Jason Fitzgerald, the creator of the salary cap website Overthecap.com, suggested that Hill would be the most valuable player to be traded. Hill used a peace emoji to quote-tweet that message.

Then he sent another emoji of peace.

Could Tyreek Hill be on the move?

What is the meaning of it all? It’s difficult to say. It’s possible that Hill, who has a little under a million X followers and is a serious player who often broadcasts and engages with fans while playing, is engaging in trolling. It might not be anything. Or it might be something based on how the season ended for the Dolphins and the standout receiver.

After the Dolphins’ season-ending loss to the New York Jets (32–30), in which Hill appeared to resign from the team, Hill spoke to reporters as though his time in Miami was coming to an end.

At the time, Hill stated:

“This is the first time I haven’t been in the playoffs, man, so I mean, for me, I just gotta do what’s best for me and my family, dog,” . “If that’s here, if that’s wherever the case may be.”

“I’m finna open that door for myself, dog. I’m opening the door. I’m out, bro. It was great playing here, but at the end of the day I got to do what’s best for my career. I’m too much of a competitor to be just out there.”

In an end-of-year news conference, Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel informed reporters that he and the star wideout “cleared the air” after a “rough and tumultuous situation” after openly criticizing Hill immediately following the game.
