Travis Kelce and Chiefs Statement Win Over Steelers

Travis Kelce, the great tight end, made a big announcement about the Kansas City Chiefs following his historic performance on Wednesday. The Kansas City Chiefs, led by Kelce, upset the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day in Week 17.

The victory’s first half saw Kelce reach 1,000 career receptions. In the end, the 35-year-old caught eight passes for 84 yards and one touchdown.

Following 1,000 career receptions, the Chiefs’ X account honored three-time Super Bowl winner Kelce with a statement. Chiefs posted: “One thousand more reasons to love Travis Kelce,”. “Congratulations, Travis!”

Travis Kelce turning his season around?

With more than a million views, fans have messaged the nine-time Pro Bowl player Kelce. In the season’s second-to-last game, Kelce continued to make history.

He entered a rare NFL club during the first half when he recorded his 90th reception of the season.  His seventh career season with 90 or more receptions was commemorated by that catch, making him the second-highest record holder for such campaigns, after NFL great Larry Fitzgerald, who holds the record with eight.

The only tight end in NFL history to achieve this feat is Kelce. Additionally, he officially overtook Tony Gonzalez for the most receiving touchdowns in Chiefs franchise history with 77 after scoring in the second half of the game.

Kelce has caught 97 passes for 823 yards and three scores this season.
