Daytime talk show host Sherri Shepherd has recently come under fire for comments she made about Sheryl Lee Ralph's 31-year-old son Etienne on her talk show, "The Sherri Shepherd Show." During the episode, the talk show host discussed how "fine" Etienne is and made several comments about his physical appearance, as well as his name and hobbies. ”I have known Etienne since he was a baby and he was always a cute baby," she shared. "I remember when he was 7, I said to Sheryl Lee Ralph, 'You're going to have to watch out for these women because these women are going to be after Etienne.' Sheryl Lee Ralph don’t want me over for no girls’ night. She gone be like, ‘Where Sherri go?’ on girls’ night. Like girl, ‘I’m up here with Etienne, that’s where I’m at.” Sherri, the former co-host of "The View," went on to comment on Etienne's name, which she described as "exotic," saying, “You should have named his behind Rufus.” Then, she made a joke about him being a yoga instructor, saying, "That means he's flexible. I know Sheryl Lee Ralph ain't gone like this, but honey I need to be stretched. I need some yoga in my life. What’s that one? The downward dog?,” she said before getting down on her hands and knees on the floor. “I ain’t never needed yoga as much as I needed yoga right now. I got my third eye on you boy!," she said. While Shepherd's comments may have been intended as humor, many people have expressed discomfort with the way she spoke about Etienne.
