News of the renewal comes hot on the heels of Season 7’s explosive premiere, which delivered a massive 2 million cross-platform viewers.
With this pickup, ‘The Chi’ joins the ranks of ‘Dexter’, ‘Homeland’, and ‘Weeds’ as one of Showtime‘s longest-running series. It’s now second only to ‘Shameless.’
