Pat McAfee isn’t holding back after John Mellencamp called out the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer for his antics during Game Four of the Eastern Conference Finals in Indiana, urging him to “shut the f*** up.”
When the 73-year-old was asked at the beginning of “The Pat McAfee Show” on Friday morning, the former Colts punter took the time to react, and he completely destroyed the assertion.

What he said: “The graphic, the quote, the timing,”. “You’re two days late, John! You’re two days late, bub!”
It wasn’t difficult to deduce that Mellencamp was alluding to McAfee’s WWE-style advertisement that targeted the A-list attendees at the arena who were cheering on the Knicks, even if he didn’t specifically attack him.
Pat McAfee’s unfiltered rant
Even though Mellencamp didn’t specifically mention him, it was easy to figure out that he was alluding to McAfee’s WWE-style advertisement that was directed at the A-list attendees of the arena where the Knicks were playing.
Although McAfee acknowledged that he detests seeing individuals abused online, he is grateful to everyone who stood up for him. He stated:
“I don’t think you or your team had any idea there might be people who are on my side, John,” “So I hope whenever you opened your X account, if it is you, you’ve seen what everybody did, and you could have taken the angle and be like ‘Hey, there’s some people attacking Pat for what he did, I’m actually on his side.”’
“I don’t want any of your bulls***,”. “And.. I don’t like you. I know your name, and I don’t like you.”
He ended his tirade by expressing his want to meet John soon and his belief that they will be together “real soon” (presumably referring to Saturday’s ECF Game 6 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse).
