TMZ reports the Young Money rapper was originally scheduled for a deposition on January 27th, but failed to appear. A deposition is out-of-court testimony conducted outside of a courtroom but still under oath. It is used to gather information as part of the discovery process and may be used at trial in limited circumstances. Since he skipped out on the first deposition, he must now sit for one scheduled for Friday, February 24th, via Zoom. If he skips out on that date, the judge said he better appear in court on Monday, February 27th, or possibly be charged with contempt. According to reports, defense attorneys for the three men accused of murdering rapper XXXTentacion have raised the possibility that rap superstar Drake was behind the 2018 slaying. Suspects Michael Boatwright (above), 28, Trayvon Newsome (below), 24, and Dedrick Williams, 26, are accused of carrying out the fatal shooting outside a Florida motorcycle store as part of a robbery that escalated to a cold-blooded killing, according to prosecutors. Mauricio Padilla, the defense attorney for Dedrick Williams, wants to raise reasonable doubt in the jurors’ minds. Prosecution’s Argument According to prosecutors, the shooting was the result of a botched robbery, and there is no evidence linking Drake to the deadly gunfire. Boatwright, Trayvon, and Williams are accused of going to Riva Motorsports on June 18, 2018, to buy masks with plans to commit armed robberies, but changed their minds when they saw XXXTentacion inside the store, according to prosecutors. Defense Arguments

Attorney Joseph Kimok, Boatwright's attorney, claimed that his client was asleep at home during the murder and that the cellphone data that connected to him came from a shared phone that was used by several men. While he appeared to have the money that the prosecutors mentioned on social media, he claimed that it actually belonged to Allen and not Boatwright.

The defense attorney for Newsome asserted that his client was not present.
