Russell Wilson Talks About His Future With the Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers were eliminated vs the Ravens. When the media questioned Russell Wilson about his future with the team after the game, he mentioned the prospect of playing for the team again.

Wilson said: “(Pittsburgh is) a special place with special guys. You’ve got a special coach in Coach Tomlin, you’ve got a special organization, special people, special players, and a special fanbase. It’s been truly a blessing in my life, it’s been one of the best years for me personally, being a Pittsburgh Steeler,”. “Obviously, I hope I’m here (in 2025).”

Now that the Steelers’ season is over, Wilson will enter free agency. His final game of the season ended in a 28–14 loss to Baltimore, where he completed 20 of 29 passes for two touchdowns and no picks. He didn’t make any obvious errors in his first postseason game since the 2020 campaign, but the team was having trouble keeping up with Baltimore’s explosive offense.

Wilson made 11 starts for Pittsburgh this season and completed 63.7% of his pass attempts for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions. The 13-year veteran had a respectable season, but it’s still unknown if the team would want to have him return for 2025.
