Over the past ten years, the Kansas City Chiefs have ruled the AFC West, but the three other teams are catching up to them.
The Chiefs won ten or more games last season, along with the Los Angeles Chargers (11-6) and Denver Broncos (10-7), and all three teams advanced to the AFC playoffs. But with a 4-13 record at the end of the previous season, the Raiders have long been near the bottom of the division.
Rich Eisen discussed the Raiders and the AFC West on his show. He gave a preview of the Raiders’ first half of the schedule and talked about the team’s high-profile games and obstacles.
Rich Eisen opens up about Tom Brady’s Raiders
Eisen is performing well for the Raiders despite a rough start to the season. He ended his analysis of the Raiders’ whole schedule by stating that the NFL as a whole benefits from the team’s success.
Eisen cried out: “The Raiders being good is good for the National Football League,” . “You ought to win as a pirate, let’s go. I’m really fired up. The AFC West is going to be lit, and the Raiders being good is good for business, just good for business.”
The Raiders’ games may receive even more attention if Tom Brady, who is now the team’s minority owner, is permitted to commentate.
In Las Vegas, a new government will take office in the first year. Veteran Pete Caroll, a successful coach in both college and the NFL, has taken over as their new coach.
