Security detained a protester during Kendrick Lamar‘s halftime show in New Orleans during the Super Bowl. During halftime of the Philadelphia Eagles‘ final 40–22 victory against the Kansas City Chiefs, the protester disrupted the rapper and was tackled on the NFL field at Caesars Superdome.
Someone was seen on stage during Lamar’s halftime show carrying a banner that merged the Sudanese and Palestinian flags. Before security eventually saw the individual, who turned out to be a protestor, they were out there for a few minutes, waving a Palestinian flag.
After security caught sight of the pro-Palestine demonstrator, he leaped off the stage and into the field. A worker then tackled the man as he attempted to flee from security.
The man was carried away on his knees after refusing to stand up. Meanwhile, the unconcerned rapper Lamar carried on with his set. It’s reasonable to say that the sequence left social media users speechless.
