Karmelo Anthony Finally Charged With First-degree Murder In Austin Metcalf’s Fatal Stabbing

Karmelo Anthony has finally been charged with first-degree murder in Austin Metcalf‘s fatal stabbing. It’s been all over the headlines after District Attorney Greg Willis made the announcement.

But let’s break it down for you – in case you’ve been living under a rock. Karmelo Anthony allegedly got into a heated argument with Austin Metcalf. Things escalated quickly, and before anyone knew it, Austin Metcalf was fatally stabbed.

Now, Karmelo Anthony is facing some serious charges and the whole situation is just crazy.

Karmelo, now 18, has been officially entered into the court system, with District Attorney Greg Willis having presented evidence to a grand jury and recommended a first-degree murder charge.

“Today, I summarized that evidence, and I asked the Grand Jury to return a first-degree murder indictment against Karmelo Anthony — which they did,” Willis said.

With that indictment, the case now moves formally into the court system. From this point forward, we’ll continue doing our part — fully and fairly — to pursue justice under the law. The trial schedule will be set by the court. But when the time comes, we’ll be ready.”

Austin’s father, Jeff Metcalf, was happy with the decision and believes that justice will be served.

“I am pleased that we are moving forward. With the first-degree murder indictment, it now goes into the court system. I fully believe that justice will be served for Austin Metcalf. I look forward to the forthcoming trial. But it will never bring my son back,” he said.

Karmelo Anthony’s attorney, Mike Howard, said the charge was expected and that the defendant and his family are confident that the justice system will be fair.

“Karmelo and his family are confident in the justice system and the people of Collin County to be fair and impartial,” Howard stated. “Of course, Karmelo looks forward to his day in court.”

In all of this, justice and fair trial is what we are all rooting for! Stay here for more updates on this case.
