Pras “Hopes” for Donald Trump Pardon Following Federal Fraud Conviction

Pras Michel of The Fugees is betting on a Donald Trump pardon to clear his name despite being found guilty in a federal fraud case.

TMZ Hip Hop caught up with the former Fugees rapper in Los Angeles where he made it clear that he and his legal team are actively pushing for Trump’s intervention.

Michel pointed out that both he and Trump have had their battles with the Justice Department, implying that their shared enemy might work in his favor.

When asked if he had a message to Trump, the rapper said:

“There’s always gonna be love for any president no matter what… all we can do is wish the best for him…and obviously I hope he turns an eye on me.”

He also voiced support for Tory Lanez hoping Californian Governor Gavin Newsom might show some clemency for the incarcerated rapper.

With his sentencing still in limbo, Michel is playing the waiting game, hoping Trump makes a move before time runs out.

His words come after he filed a lawsuit against bandmate Lauryn Hill over the scrapped Fugees tour.
