According to authorities, two women were shot in the leg Friday afternoon close to the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl parade. Both are in a stable state.
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the event happened on Ben Franklin Parkway, although it’s still unknown where the shooting took place on the Parkway, when it happened, and whether the women knew the attacker.
After an argument, a man wearing an Eagles jersey shot the two women, who seemed to be in their 20s, according to Deputy Police Commissioner Frank Vanore. A law enforcement source informed the Inquirer that the two victims did not know each other, and authorities are now unsure of the nature of the argument.
The incident comes after the shooting during the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade last year, which claimed one life and injured almost two dozen more.
