Maxx Justice, a WWE star, tragically died when he was struck by a car while riding his bike home from work. The All-Pro Wrestling promotion revealed on social media that Mike Raybeck, 63, who was known to wrestling fans as Maxx Justin and Mike Diamond, had passed away.
The former wrestler was hit and killed while traveling home from work. The All-Pro Wrestling promotion stated in a post on X:
“All Pro Wrestling is saddened to learn about the passing of APW Original, Mike Raybeck, professionally known as Maxx Justice and Mike Diamond.
“His life was cut short following a bicycle accident where he was struck by a vehicle near Chabot College last Friday.
“Our most sincere condolences go out to the family, friends and fans of Maxx Justice!”
Maxx Justice and his career in wrestling
Social media has been inundated with sincere homages to the WWE icon from wrestling fans. Mike became a five-time APW Universal Champion at All Pro Wrestling’s Boot Camp, where he began his career. After rising to prominence in the California wrestling scene, the six-foot-five, 250-pound wrestler went on to engage in three WWF contests.
Mike would go on to star in Beyond the Mat, a documentary about professional wrestling. It follows the death of 60-year-old wrestling veteran Sabu.
Terry Brunk, who went by “Sabu” in his ring, was the ECW World Heavyweight Champion twice and a three-time World Heavyweight Champion.
The NWA World Heavyweight Championship was also once held by the professional wrestler. On April 18, during WrestleMania weekend in Las Vegas, Sabu had his last match for GCW, defeating Joey Janela.
Last weekend’s Tri-State Wrestling Alliance reunion show convention is rumored to have been his last public appearance.
