The battle for a very open starting job at Huntington Bank Field could get heated since the 40-year-old veteran quarterback is certain that he has no plans to coach rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders.

Kenny Pickett and Deshaun Watson will also be there, but the latter is anticipated to miss the whole 2025–2026 NFL season due to an Achilles injury.

All four players have a strong chance of starting during the team’s crucial transitional phase, and Watson will be confident in his own abilities when he makes his comeback.
