Thursday night at Ford Field, things got heated. And that was before the game’s commencement. Green Bay coach Matt LaFleur got into a violent argument with a supporter on the field before the Packers vs Lions game on “Thursday Night Football.”
LaFleur didn’t take it well when a fan wearing a Lions No. 32 Brian Branch shirt appeared to start jawing at him while the players on the field were raising an American flag.

Some online lip readers claim that the coach began jawing and pointing at the Lions fan, seemingly saying, “Shut the f–k up”. At least two of the game officials, along with Packers players and crew, had to assist in separating the two.
Matt LeFleur and his future
Before a crucial game between the NFC North rivals, the Packers (9-3) were two games behind the Lions (11-1) in the division. It was an odd moment. The Prime Video “Thursday Night Football” crew was thrilled by the Packers’ apparent readiness to make it to the postseason again after making it last year with Jordan Love at quarterback.
During the pregame show, Andrew Whitworth stated: “It wasn’t that long ago, we were talking about, ‘Who is Matt LaFleur when Aaron Rodgers leaves the Green Bay Packers?’ Well, Luke Getsy’s been fired twice, Nathaniel Hackett’s failed twice and Aaron Rodgers has four wins in two years as a Jet. Matt LaFleur, at worst, has nine wins — two seasons in a row — he’s won a playoff game. I think we know exactly who Matt LaFleur is and that’s a hell of a football coach,”
However, the Packers are now trying to reverse the outcome on the road after the Lions defeated them in their last game in Week 9 in Green Bay.
