Mariah Carey may be spreading Christmas cheer far and wide with her Christmas Time Tour, but this year that won’t include Newark or Belmont.

Moments ago, Carey – who canceled her Pittsburgh show earlier this week due to illness – confirmed that she is unable to proceed with follow-up shows for the same reason.

Taking to social media, the diva wrote:

“Newark and Belmont – I wish I had better news but unfortunately I’m still sick and have to cancel the shows tonight and on Sunday. I’m really devastated about it and appreciate your support. Love, MC ????”

While the news is no doubt unfortunate, Carey still has fans buzzing after announcing that she will be opening the NFL Christmas Day Game live on Netflix with a special rendition of ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You.’

As reported, the iconic holiday anthem returned to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 – and made history in the process.
