Lizzo Confirms New Music / Set to Countersue Dancers Who Accused Her of Weight-Shaming

Apparently ‘About Damn Time’ hitmaker Lizzo feels it’s about damn time she clapped back in a more official capacity to recent accusations of sexual harassment, weight shaming, and hostile work environment wielded by three of her former dancers.

Less than three weeks after the GRAMMY winner (born Melissa Jefferson) took to Instagram to deny the shocking claims, her legal representative, Marty Singer, took to press to confirm the diva’s intent to countersue.

The dancers – Arianna DavisCrystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez – claimed Jefferson pressured them into attending topless shows in Paris and performing oral sex acts on an exotic dancder with a banana.  Marty asserts he has photos that proved they were “happily cavorting backstage” with the topless performers (as shared by our friends at TMZ).

While the trio’s lawyer, Neama Rahmani, hit back by suggesting the photos were just another demonstration of coerced compliance because the dancers “wanted to keep their jobs,” Marty says the Paris photos are only a fraction of the evidence his team has to disprove the “sham” claims outlined in the “bogus lawsuit.”

The news comes just two days after Lizzo was spotted publicly for the first time since the dancers’ suit initially made headlines.

She confirmed she is hard-at-work on new music, tunes believed to line her yet-titled fifth studio album (the follow-up to 2022’s GRAMMY-winning LP ‘Special‘).
