In a series of tweets, the ‘Still Bad’ singer posted a clip of her talking about who she wants to be in a modern-day ‘Lady Marmalade.’ She tweeted in the post:

“Everything I do is for her. The way the world treated this girl was so nasty & vicious. I’m going hard for her— my Shayla.”

Then, she addresses the haters and fair-weather fans about her weight loss. She states:

:I have no loyalty to hatred — u mad I lost weight? Stay mad. Ur bitter I make hits? Stay bitter. I only have loyalty to love and real people not click bait critters.”

Also, the singer expresses how talking smack about her is the cheat code for going viral. She feels that it’s just yet another example of the mistreatment of Black women. She added:

‘”he way this world treats black women is sickening… blacklisted Janet and now 20yrs later yall calling her music “cute black girl bops” & giving her flowers…

Dogged Whitney for her love life & called her a drug addict for laughs but now yall wanna honor her

Yall laughed at Tina’s abuse and never let her forget…

The least protected person in America…”

But, the ‘About Damn Time’ performer ended by saying that love from her family, close friends, and fans is real. Plus, to free yourself from others’ opinions that don’t matter, and lastly, God put her here to tell her story which is how a fat Black woman wins.
