LeBron James and his family were forced to evacuate their home due to the ongoing wildfires that are wreaking havoc on the Los Angeles region. According to the four-time NBA champion, he has temporarily moved into a hotel that has made him feel “off.”
When James heard that several of his friends had lost their homes, he also talked candidly about how he was feeling.
During a press conference, James stated: “There’s been a lot of emotions,”
“I have a couple of dear friends that have lost their homes in the Palisades. Obviously, my heart goes out to all of the families all across not only the (Pacific) Palisades but all across LA County and all the surrounding areas because of the fire and things of that nature. It’s been a lot of emotions.” “Personally, I’ve been off,”
“Personally, my family, we’ve been evacuated since Thursday night. So, I’ve been in a hotel since pretty much when we got back from Dallas. So, just figuring it out. But staying strong for one another. Obviously, that’s most important.”
Following the Lakers‘ 117-108 victory over the Miami Heat on Wednesday, James gave a speech. James, 40, had nine assists and 22 points at the end of the game.
The James family has already had to evacuate because of the flames. The family abandoned their home in 2019 after brush fires started in the Brentwood region of Los Angeles, close to the Getty Center. Brentwood is where James resides.
At the time, James posted updates on his social media accounts. He talked about some of the distinctions between his family’s current struggles and what they went through over five years ago.
