Amazing new information regarding the betting issue involving Jontay Porter surfaced. After an investigation revealed that Porter, the disgraced former NBA player, had broken gambling regulations by giving sports bettors access to private information, restricting his ability to participate in games for betting, and placing bets on games while playing for the Raptors last season, he was given a life ban from the league.
But according to the federal court document that The Post was able to get, another person, Shane Hennen, was arrested on Sunday in connection with Porter, providing additional insight into the extent of Porter’s involvement.
According to the court document, Porter was messaging suspected coconspirators throughout several Raptors games. The coconspirators then forwarded Hennen screenshots of Porter’s communications.
According to the lawsuit, Porter, 25, sent at least four text messages to the coconspirators during the Raptors-Grizzlies game on January 22, 2024, informing them of his availability and playing status. During the contest, Porter allegedly suffered an eye injury. Porter is accused of texting the other conspirators:

On January 26, 2024, three days later, only hours before a Raptors-Clippers game, Porter sent a message to his co-conspirators stating that he would withdraw from the game due to an injury.
Porter is accused of texting the other conspirators: “I went back to the locker room to get eye checked on,” “Idk [sic] if imma play much more.” “I’m Not starting second half.” “But if it’s garbage time I will shoot a million shots.”
